Stereolithography Prototypes (SLA)

SLA modeling (Stereolithography prototypes) offers the most accurate type of fit/form prototype for the verification of any design before committing to your chosen production route. Please see ‘CRDM Tolerance Standards for SLA tolerances.

CRDM operate two SLA 250s and one SLA 3500 systems to produce Stereolithography prototypes from a choice of four different SLA resins to suite your individual requirements.

Stereolithography resins available:
Somos 14120 - ABS mimic
Somos 9120 & 9120S - PP/PE mimic
Somos 11120 - Water Clear Acrylic mimic

For sample swatches of any of the above materials please send a request to crdm@crdm.co.uk

New CRDM Finishing Standards

All finishing standards are made up of 2 parts:

  • “A” Surface Finish (visual or important face, typically the outside of a part)
  • “B” Surface Finish (unseen face of part, usually the inside)

The finish grade must be defined for both the “A” and “B” surfaces of a part.
