Rapid Metals - Investment Casting Services
CRDM offer investment casting in aluminium,
stainless steels, non-ferrous, Zinc and Magnesium components in
2-3 weeks from receipt of CAD. A full machining, inspection and
finishing service is available, including X-Ray, Heat Treatment,
Protective Coatings and full Spray Finishing.
Investment casting patterns for prototype and short runs are manufactured
without tooling using a 3D Systems Thermojet Wax Modeller for small
to medium castings, and Castform wax impregnated polystyrene patterns,
from our Vanguard Sintering System, for larger requirements.
Machining allowances, contraction and filling of holes prior to Investment
casting can all be done at the touch of a button. Higher production
quantities can be achieved very quickly and cost effectively through
our Direct
Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) system for producing
production was injection tooling as a fast alternative to aluminium.
