Stereolithography Prototypes (SLA)

SLA modelling (Stereolithography prototypes) offers the most accurate type of fit/form prototype for the verification of any design before committing to your chosen production route. Please download ‘CRDM Tolerance Standards’ PDF for SLA tolerances.

CRDM operate three SLA 250 machines and one SLA 3500 system to produce Stereolithography prototypes from a choice of four different SLA resins to suite your individual requirements. 

Stereolithography resins available:

Somos GP Plus - ABS mimic
Somos 9120 & 9120S - PP/PE mimic
Somos 10122 Water Clear Ultra - clear rigid plastic mimic

We can also supply 3D Systems - Bluestone (very high temperature resistant ceramic filled resin)

All Stereolithography models are built with a 0.1mm layer thickness and can be supplied in basic finish (C3) through to fully painted and detailed (A1) or for 10122 parts clear laquered or polished to achieve a clear finish.
